MDS-DH-SP-200 spindle drive unit regularly displayed the alarm A.17
Recently, a Mitsubishi MDS-DH-SP-200 spindle drive unit was sent to us for repair. The customer reported that the device regularly displayed the alarm “A.17,” causing production downtimes.
Upon arrival at our facility, the unit underwent thorough cleaning to eliminate possible contamination and ensure clear visibility of all components. Subsequently, we conducted a detailed inspection to identify the root causes of the alarm “A.17.”
This alarm indicates issues within the internal current circuit, typically resulting from component wear or thermal overload. Our experienced technician team proactively replaced common wear parts, including capacitors and semiconductor components, and also performed preventive maintenance to avoid future disruptions.
After completing the repairs, the spindle drive unit was extensively tested. We strictly adhered to the manufacturer’s specifications to ensure that all parameters were met perfectly and the device operated reliably over the long term.
