Recently, a Haas Servo Amplifier 45A (model 32-3551J or 93-32-3551J) arrived at our workshop from Switzerland for refurbishment. The customer, a renowned Swiss watch manufacturer, uses several Haas CNC machines in their production and specifically reached out to us for assistance. According to the customer, the original manufacturer typically does not repair these amplifiers; instead, faulty modules are replaced entirely and disposed of.

For our customer, who not only advocates but actively practices sustainability, the mere idea of discarding the defective unit was simply unacceptable. Until now, he had reluctantly accepted this practice due to the lack of alternative options, but inwardly, he always opposed it. “We repair almost everything at our facility. Keeping things organized and maintaining our machinery is our top priority,” he explained during our initial discussion. He found it unacceptable to assume that repairing these amplifiers would be overly complicated or uneconomical: “There is always a repair path—repairs become worthwhile when you know how and have the right infrastructure,” he firmly stated.
