Frequently asked questions

For each of the four services we have answered frequently asked questions:

New & refurbished

Intensive cleaning of the circuit board, housing parts or windings. Exchange of all known wear parts such as capacitors, relays, optocouplers, fans, ball bearings and much more.
All units are or have been extensively tested for functionality. If something cannot be checked, it is communicated openly and honestly.
We developed the test stations ourselves for many units and know how to do this. Therefore, we can almost always help with troubleshooting and problem solving.
Many units have to be parameterized so that they function properly. We are happy to help you with this.

Exchange

Exchange means that you send us your repairable unit and we will leave our refurbished device to you after testing.
In this case, you can either send in another unit as a replacement or simply pay the selling price. Often we can also meet the price if you can still use the irreparable units as parts donors.
All units are or have been extensively tested for functionality. If something cannot be checked, it is communicated openly and honestly.
We developed the test stations ourselves for many units and know how to do this. Therefore, we can almost always help with troubleshooting and problem solving.

Repair

Entrance tests at the test site up to 30 minutes in length are free of charge. If further tests or examinations at component level are necessary, we will inform you of the expected effort and ask for approval.
A standard repair usually takes 4-7 working days after approval of the estimate. Faster throughput times for smaller servo drives or express repairs are often feasible within two working days.
That means the minimum effort for a standard repair with overhaul. However, there may be additional costs due to the purchase of special and sometimes expensive spare parts such as encoders, brakes, circuit boards.
All units are or have been extensively tested for functionality. If something cannot be checked, it is communicated openly and honestly.
Some parameters have to be adjusted for the test runs. After the repair, however, all settings are reset to the delivery condition.
We developed the test stations ourselves for many units and know how to do this. Therefore, we can almost always help with troubleshooting and problem solving.
You are also welcome to send in drives and motors for testing to localize the cause of the error. In this case, however, we would calculate the effort involved.
We always try to offer our customers a solution. If something is not repairable, we are happy to help you find replacement units or alternative solutions such as retrofits.
An express repair is often possible within two working days. However, this also depends on the defect in the device and the availability of spare parts.
We usually need 4-7 working days for repairs. These are the average times we need to repair a standard error in your equipment.
